I’m a 9th year in a mostly litigation-based practice group at a one-tier partnership firm. My group’s billable hours have been low the last few years, so making partner will be nearly impossible, and a counsel position is not viable long-term in my group. What’s the best option here if partnership is the ultimate goal? Try to get a NEP/counsel position at another firm, which is likely difficult in my market, or offer to take a class cut by a few years?

What is the job security for people on bench in HCS? I have joined HCS almost a month and a half and yet to be assigned to a project. I am worried if it would negatively affect my position in HCS. Kindly help with your answers.

I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. Hello All, I’m a project manager but seeking to pivot into UX Research. I do have some experience but don’t have a portfolio yet. Can anyone advise if I should focus on going through a bootcamp or focus on getting a Masters in HCI? Or just building a portfolio with the experience I do have? I have an offer from a reputed company(company 1) and have joining with them tomorrow. I have got a call from another company(company 2) for which I was interviewed before. They will get all approvals and release offer by tomorrow.
Company 2 is not so big but very good one and I am more inclined towards this. What should I do in this situation? Shall I trust company 2 and don’t reject company 1?
