Amex has offered me a very competitive salary for the position of Product Development Analyst. To date, I have primarily worked as a data scientist. How would this new role differ from the one I have now? Would it make sense to switch from data science to product development? I have another offer from Citi for a role similar to that of a data scientist, however, the salary offered is relatively low in comparison with Amex.
Any help would be appreciated.

I received an offer (28 Lakhs + 3.9 Lakhs incentive) from Novartis for Sr Project Manager yesterday. This was just 13.6% more than my current earnings as Project Manager. I've given the reasons why I deserve at least 30% to HR. In response to that, HR has sent 2nd offer i.e. 29 Lakhs + 4 Lakhs incentive + 50k sign-on bonus. The 2nd offer is just 18.2% higher than my current earnings. Need your suggestion, if I could still negotiate with HR to finalize deal by asking for 25% hike?

Forgive the basic question but can you contract around state statutes? For ex, customer wants to insert state contractor payment statutes and have that state law govern. I’m assuming the way around this is to have another more preferable state as choice of law?

One of my relative got selected in Sopra steria, but she never accepted their offer.
They automatically assumed that she has accepted and proceeded with her joining. Even though she never joined.
Now they are saying that, please pay the recovery due amount of 10k, otherwise we will take legal action.
It is not about the amount, but she never accepted their offer.
Please suggest what could happen in this case?
Can they go for legal proceedings? If so will it impact her career?
