I gave all my savings and even took personal loans (which takes away 20% of my salary as EMI) to support. If you ask weather i would do it again, then yes, i will.
What will i do with money in the bank if my loved ones are struggling for it.
We all have different priorities, just need to be aware about it.
More power to you my friend.. God bless you!!
My dad passed when I was 15 and even before that our life wasn't that great money wise. I've been living a life that I didn't want to, to ensure my mom gets everything she wants that we couldn't afford then and I am going to continue to earn as much as I can to ensure my daughter doesn't need to give up on her dreams like I had to. Do I feel sad, yes. Do I repress my feelings, yes. Do I resent some of these situations, yes. Would I do it all over again to see the happiness I see on my family's face, heck absolutely!

I am no advocate here, but live your life like you want to, everything will fall into its own place automatically.
I spent all my life savings a couple of years back to resolve a family crisis. Don’t think much. I’m sure you’re young and can make money again.
But it also depends on what’s your relationship with your family and how close you are to them.
Sending good wishes!
I have spent all my savings as well as I am giving away my whole salary since the past 6 months to my family as my father's business went almost belly up due to Covid. Along with the feelings of failure and not able to do much for my family, I don't have the motivation to work most days because i know I won't be able to keep any of the money for myself. So yeah, it sucks, but it keeps your family running

Aren't you were earning to support your family in the first place?
Exactly my question... Like don't we save for these days only. To overcome whatever difficulties me or family faces.. I think you did a great job by helping them.. it should be a feeling of pride that you are able to help them at this point of time.
I gave my onsite earnings to a friend who never returned that amount (several lakhs). Shit happens and 2020 didn’t help either.
