Hi all.
Has anyone in IBM been on bench for more than 4 months here?
I have been on bench for almost 4 months now & have been getting automated mails asking me to get assigned to a project by searching one by myself, else necessary action might be taken.
And are there any chances of being straightaway fired based on these automated mails?
I would genuinely need an advise from someone who is aware of this kind of situation.
Thanks in advance
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I would say more likely than not you would get paid for the two weeks even if they ask you to leave day of notice. If an employer develops a reputation of not paying out the two weeks then future employees will just start quitting with no notice.
What lol you’re never fired if you are quitting. You get the 2 weeks pay.
They can’t fire you after you’ve quit. The 2 weeks pay probably depends on the company and their policy.
You give them your two week notice. Then when they ask where you’re going you’ll tell them and they will pay you for your two weeks and tell you to leave immediately
