I had appealed against my ratings and after discussions upto level 2 I was told my appeal will be heard by a neutral panel at level 3. I would like to know has anyone gone through this process before and what could be my chances for the successful appeal since i have all the approvals and feedback in place. Some help and information would be highly appreciated as I'm really tense and disappointed.Capgemini
whatever you do ..it's waste of time . when a sheep fights with tiger ,it's rare that the sheep wins .. Sheep crying with fear and asking support of another child tiger , that child will support sheep or tiger ??. ultimately this is what happens around us .. No tiger helps a sheep .. in any circumstance
This is the mindset unfortunately we all are told to have. If I'm right and have an option to make it through why not avail it. Unfortunately most of the time we are pushed into a corner and made to suffer even if we know we can cross the finish line if we push a little bit.
Sadistic side of corporate life. In the worst case, All you can do is prepare hard and apply for the jobs. Don't stay where your values are acknowledged. Be ready for the next role.

Its futile to appeal against ratings, it's not a court, it's corporate jungle. You need to move on and tone down your ego a bit in your next job. (Sharing perspective how top management thinks) even if you win you still loose by staying there.
We don't even have trust on courts now. It favours the powerful.
As your fundamental right, you’re always open to appeal against the ratings but the dark side of the corporate world is that it really doesn’t matter. Even after multiple levels of reviews, it’ll hardly make any difference and infact you will end screwing up your next rating. Better start preparing for the interviews.
How to appeal against the ratings? What is the process?
First your N+1 should support you to appeal the ratings. If he does, it will move to level 2 with N+2 and HR. If that does not work you will get an appeal form from the same HR and you need to fill out the details about your discussions in N+1 and N+2 rounds. Then it will go to the neutral panel at level 3 where another discussion takes place and you have to justify why you deserve a better rating and the feedback from N+2 will also be considered why they gave you a low rating.

What context are you looking for. People got a bad rating and those who have a proof of appreciation and good work can appeal the ratings.
