I got offer in Bangalore FIS and my husband got an offer with one big company in Hyderabad. Both companies are currently WFH only but in future, I might have to consider moving to Hyderabad. Fis doesn't have office in Hyderabad so I was wondering if I can ask permanent WFH later. I guess I will be put in fis payment solution.

Options I can think of are:
1. Ask the company to provide for accommodation stating you are unable to get any viable stay options for just 15 days.
2. Check out Airbnb, couchsurfing etc. for budget stays. You can also check out hostels as well. There are websites like zostel for this.
3. If company is not providing for accommodation, then ask for partial or full reimbursement.
You have not mentioned whether you have been officially mailed and told to report to base location or is it just your manager saying so over the call?
If it is the later, you can drop a mail to your manager with your HR in CC and line manager as well and seek confirmation that they want you to report at base location for the remaining 15 days of NP. This will surely put your manager on the defensive. Do state your reservations in a nice way regarding not wanting to travel given new corona variant risk. Also that since you do not have any accommodation options, and getting rental place for just 15 days is not feasible, if the company can provide for the accommodation. You can also state your willingness to comply if accommodation and travel expenses are provided.
Do not keep this on call. Keep all of this strictly on mail. Even if you receive a call post your mail, revert via mail listing out the discussion that happened with HR in CC. This will help you deal with any threats. And do record the calls. With call and mail records on your side, company won't be able to force you for anything.
