I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.

I was hired for java selenium UI Automation from capgemini. In project as well i have given interview for java selenium UI Automation role. After taking me into the project, it was in the mid of an ongoing sprint. There were 4 days to end that particular sprint. Only those 4 days (each day 30 min) were there to have KT from the team about application, framework and to get access to all the required sites and tools). The immediate sprint they assigned user stories ( 2 API Automation and 1 UI Automation). I quickly completed the Automation user story and i faced difficultly in completing the API Automation user story. But finally completed it. During that i was depending on my team mate for the endpoints that need to be tested for that functionality. That team mate is also from capgemini. She will not do proper Automation but she will showcase to all that she is the perfect one but she knows how to cheat the client. While hiering into capgemini and into the project they knew very well that i dont have experience in API Automation. For me API Automation is a learning experience But the client made a complaint to capgemini management that i am asking for the endpoints and i dont know API Automation. Whenever Capgemini manager speaks to me (one on one or in team call) he will tell that i got an escalation for the client. Recently i wanted to take two days leave for medical reason, i was telling my manager and he is again bringing the point that i got an escalation from the client. My health is more important that anything in this world but capgemini management is like 🤮. According to me, capgemini and client already knows that i dont have api Automation experience but they hired me. Then how come this is termed as "ESCALATION". Manager is like others are eligible to take leaves but not me because i got an escalation. 😏
Best suggestion is move out of Capgemini.... It's no more the Capgemini which was before in 2021....From 2022 things had drastically changed.... Layoff and Management behavior is now a regular issue for most people working in Capgemini. No job safety strictly.... Hire and Fire is very simple in Capgemini....
That's why I left Capgemini.
