Hi sharing my 2 cents.
This is the question in the mind of many retail investor stock investor in recent times.
TLDR: Invest in Infy (circa Apr 2023) only if you a continued stock investor and you see no other avenues to invest -do so around the next sustained support level of the stock (of course as per your risk appetite)
LONGER reply :
Case 1 : You have never bought a stock -then do not invest only in Infy as the risk downside is too high for you (> 50%)
Case 2 : You are already invested in direct equity, but still wanna invest a decent amount in Infy so that it forms a considerable size of your portfolio . In this case wait for it to stabilise around 1700 to pick up . Your risk of down size is also considerable (40% ish) while chances of Infy still going up by 30% is lower
Case 3 : You are a "seasoned" investor and have decided to give a very risk appropriate size to Infy i.e. you won't allocate it more than 10% of your current portfolio size . In this case you should be more confident to pick up only after it stabilises it's nearest support and have the appetite to hold it for atleast 1-2 years to get substantial profit (fortunately your down size is lower)
P.S. I am not a SEBI credited equity advisor. Sharing the above only based on my understanding and experience
If you are looking for a long term investment in Infosys stock, you can invest in it below 1250. This is a good price to buy this stock
Nifty IT - Yes
