It’s a weird climate at the moment. Broaden your search (miles from home), revamp your resume and have multiple look at it. Also ask for feedback from friends you have made that are in leadership (site leaders…directors… sr directors).
It sounds old fashioned but it does help to bug them sometimes. If I want a specific job badly enough I will first call them and ask to speak to a hiring manager, if I don’t get anywhere or it’s not fast paced enough I will show up and ask to speak to them directly or set up a meeting to speak with them directly. If you are seriously hurting for a job I would also consider taking what transferable skills you have and applying them to slightly different sources of employment. If it has been a long time in between jobs consider setting aside pride and taking a pay cut for the time being. I have always been able to show my skills were legitimate and get the raise I want in the first few months, or change jobs because i’ve found that employers love steeling employees from other places.
It’s not you, it’s who you know. Get out and network and see if anyone is hunting. There are many unqualified people getting paid more than they are worth. Why not you?
I'm going through this too. Only response I'm getting is "Not selected for this position " and that's automated.
Me too. What the heck is going on?
Employers are also using AI to look over resume and can easily dismiss applicants. It’s an unfortunate change companies are going through. We use to use AI but saw misses from qualified candidates that had potential and moved on from AI
Fantastic news! If only more General Managers were like you.
I do wonder if company leaders and owners realise what their recruitment teams are doing and how many suitable candidates are missed because of AI/lazy recruiters. I’d like to think that they’d be both horrified and willing to do something about it like you have.
I'm having the same problem.
Im going through the same thing. I’ve tailored my CV to fit the requirements but still have the same problem.
To me most jobs are nonexistent, look for a headhunter someone serves a a middleman. I don’t believe there are tons of jobs out there and you can’t get one interview…
I also have a lot of applications in at different job to be exact I have 214 applications in at places and NOT 1 INTERVIEW
There are a lot of jobs available but they may not be in the field that you're looking in. You may have to expand your job search to something a little bit outside of your specific field. There are a lot of people in jobs they are not happy at but I always tell people do not quit your job until you find another one. Just be careful when you are applying for a job and think to yourself if you are hired for that position are you physically and mentally prepared to do it. I know a lot of people get desperate when they have been out of work for a while and just start applying for anything but you really have to think about the places you are trying to get hired on at.
Honestly, with that many application and nothing coming back signals a few things. 1. You are not applying to jobs that match your skills. 2. Your resume is not optimized for ATS. 3. Your resumes is not customized to the specific job (churning and burning with a generic resume to all jobs).
I feel the same way
My best advice I can give you is if you put an applications in pick the one jobs that you really want and actually just call them and say you submit it an application in your following up on it and if you keep on calling them the more and more they might consider for the job or basically you're letting them know you're really interested so that be my best advice to do
Yeah, that doesn't always work. Big them enough and they will just close you out.
Get in skilled trade. I get headhunters from all over (Tesla, Amazon, etc) hitting me up all the time. I'm working on getting a job with the railroad but their hiring process takes months (multiple interviews, extensive background check and DOT physical, and more) and the MINIMUM year with the RR, with no experience at a tier 1 railroad is $98,000.
I will tell you that in Southern Indiana the area is a little more laid back and smaller than a lot of towns even though Evansville is the third largest city in Indiana. There are still plenty of places to shop but it's not your typical Bright Lights type of town. It gets pretty cold in the winter and there are very good chances of snow and ice accumulation. A lot of big companies tend not to shut down also just because of that. Just a little advice for that area.

Well the only advice that I can dispense to you at this time is one, go to your state's Department of Labor, hopefully they should be able to find you some kind of work, two, try staffing agencies or employment agencies, hopefully they should be able to help you find work, number three, go to any and every job fair that is advertised, chances are you might be able to find work over there amongst the companies that are participating in these job fairs, four if your state has something like Grant associates or Workforce one, apply to both of them, hopefully they might be able to find you work as well, five, do some personal networking, meaning commiserate amongst your friends, coworkers or former coworkers, family members, people from around your way or neighbors, hopefully they might guide you to some gainful employment. And number six if you are a religious person my advice to you is have a Frank discussion amongst your church congregants and explain your situation to them and see if they can help you find work as well, someone may have to know something about any type of job openings where they're on their job or elsewhere, and number seven, if you go to the library, chances are you might know someone in the library that can guide you to the right direction in terms of looking for work. Someone would have to know something about any potential job openings coming up. So good luck in terms of your job search endeavors and may the good Lord Jesus Christ Almighty God be with you on your job search endeavors. 👼🏿🙏🏿😇✝️✌🏿✊🏿💙💯
Yes experiencing the same ghosting after phone screens or no interview at all
1. Make your Resume stand out. Talk about success
2. Use keywords. Most companies use AI. Utilizing keywords in field of work is key.
3. Cover letters make a difference.
First time on unemployment since 1988. This is the first time I couldn’t find a new job on the way home from the last one. I used to get calls 3 or 4 times a month asking if I was happy where I was at. “We have an opening and we would love to have you.” That hasn’t happened in over a year.
Work jobs through a temp agency. You can network that way.
Yard work brooksville cemex salary
Honestly. You must be. Tailor your CV for the job, read between the lines, search for the answers they're looking for and go get them into your cover letter/CV.
You could try more direct approaches like via LinkedIn for companies you like the sound of. It's the next best thing to going there and putting your CV on their desk.
Ask friends and family if they know anyone at these firms.
Social hacking basically.. you want to get past the filters and BS with all the other applicants.
If a job is worth having it's worth targeting properly.
Nothing better and Fargo North Dakota went for a job today the computer says 3036 bucks an hour they offered me 25 bucks an hour
I am having the same problem
