Hey everyone — I’m considering a team change. Moving from a $1.7 million revenue team to a 15 million+ revenue team. The 1.7 Mil comfortable but there’s not much upside potential. Lot of upside to the new team, but I’m feeling a deep sense of loyalty to current team. Have any of you had this experience and how did it play out?

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

Journalism is the best job in the world but I feel like people are less likely to take my work seriously because I am female. So it's like they automatically think the only things I would be good at writing about are fluffy little human interest stories. I'm just a reporter like everyone else. Is there some way I can tell my supervisor that yes, I do like those stories, but I like being a serious reporter even more?

What is the most useful technical or soft skills for any mechanical engineer to have where you work? I’m curious to know what really matters for everyone and what makes a big impact on the team and business.

Specifics if you can; CAD tools, simulation, CAD speed or proficiency, industry or standards knowledge, GD&T, certifications, Microsoft Excel, presentation skills, technical writing, project management, self organization, great communication, teaching ability, relationship building, etc.

What are people doing in terms of stashing money away for your first house? I want to buy within the next 3 years and I'm looking for any type of budget tips, credit card recommendations, safe and solid bank loans, or whatever you did that worked. Thanks!
