Hi! Has anyone had experience with reapplying to schools after being admitted? Admitted to M7 in extended round but had sudden change in family circumstance so can no longer matriculate this fall. Wondering if adcoms will look favorably or if it’s an automatic ding.

Can I apply to ISB by taking the GMAT online? Or ISB requires that we take the GMAT at test centres only. Please confirm

Best MBA programs to find tech start-up cofounders?

Is there a difference in value between pursuing an MBA at an accredited, but not ivy, and a certification (business analytics or CIA)?

Does one provide more value than the other? I've heard the MBA's shine is dimming and don't want to waste time if a certificate can do the same for me.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). Is this FOMO or is there real opportunity here?

Anyone go from MBB/T2 to MBA school and do something OTHER than return to consulting / go for high finance? Curious what your return on making that decision is and if it’s ever worth going if you’re already in consulting. Seems like most non-Consulting or IB jobs you could just skip the MBA.

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?

Graduated 3.4 UGPA in engineering and economics from a non-target school. 3 Years experience. If I am aiming for M7 how much of a stretch is that and what kind of GMAT score?

I have a month left till my GMAT. Should I start solving the official questions timed or solve more untimed until I feel more comfortable? Asking because TTP is religiously advising on untimed strategy, but I’m currently struggling with timing especially CR; untimed sessions often make me take 3-4 minutes per question (80-90% accuracy). Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)
