Hi fishes! I had asked for benefits other than CTC which Bank of America provides & now that I've completed 1 month here, here's the list of allowances you'll be getting irrespective of position/band:
1. Sodexo: 1300 p.m./ 15,600 p.a.
2. Transport allowance: 900 one way, 1800 two ways p.m./ 21,600 p.a.
3. Internet: 1500 max p.m. (other than that, one time installation charges)
4. Tuition fee: Any certification related to your field. Like CFA, FRM etc. 3,00,000 p.a.

Not sure if you consider it separate from high finance but I’m going back to move into early stage VC. Done with the shitshow that is consulting.
So with my question in mind, what was your thinking of going the MBA route vs just going for it straight from your consulting gig? From what you’ve seen does the MBA just give you a competitive edge that makes the large cost worth it?

No, they could not just skip the MBA especially if they want to make senior partner. An MBA is still largely considered a prerequisite if you want to make it to the highest echelons of a company.
D1, lol besides professional services, what industries could you possibly be talking about where they refer to senior leadership as senior partners? Unless it's a small company, it doesn't happen in my experience...

Maybe not your main q but ib skipping the MBA I’m sure possible but pretty unlikely to be an Associate without MBA at top places. The vast majority of hires are straight from ug/MBA and the laterals they do hire have worked in banking elsewhere or are still young enough to join as 1st year analysts
