I have recently relocated from Dubai to Toronto and am eagerly looking for opportunities in internal audit. Given my qualifications I’m afraid I’m not able to find many opportunities
without a Canadian CPA. I would love to hear from the audit community about their thoughts on this.

Can’t decide between reporting + technical roles vs corporate accounting roles. Coming out of audit and I like both aspects. Has anyone tried both sides and have any insights? Does one of these have higher salary potential? Does corporate accounting give you a higher chance of reaching a controller position since you’re actually in the GL, whereas technical + reporting will probably have you in a specialized group in larger companies?
