Hi, I am on my day 1 CPT pursuing MBA. Already have a lot of experience within the Hospitality and general management field. Applying to a lot of jobs but it seems like for a lot of them my resume seems over qualified because a lot of Administrative jobs requires just High School Diploma. I don't know what to do and time is running out. Managerial positions seems to have specific skills set requirement. I have recently moved to Houston, Texas. Can someone guide me with a way out to land a job?

Currently working a credit analyst in small business banking, feeling that I’m being under paid 3+ years in the industry with my last promotion I still do most of the old role responsibilities in addition to the new role responsibilities, brought it up with my direct manger “Your working some of your old responsibilities with the new pay rate” I see it that I have more than one role to perform now and I’m not even making median pay. Any advice?

I’m worry that I still have like 45 years more to be retired and can’t stop working because I have a f* mortgage to pay 😭 I have a super ergonomic workstation, but I know my hand needs a long rest, and I can’t do it… Does anyone relate? What do you recommend?

I feel like I'm at my wits end. I teach self-contained classes and according to the ISBE website my classes shouldn't be more than 8 students unless I have an aide - then it can be 10. I have no aide and most of my classes are around 14 kids. Some with behavior plans that are only out of our behavior room setting for my class... Is anybody else out there going through illegal class sizes for self-contained? How are you dealing? Maybe a vent session is in order.

Interviewing question: for anecdotal “tell me abt a time when..”, & similar questions - are you allowed to recycle stories from your undergrad years or do they only look for post grad/work stuff? Afraid some of the stories that sounded okay at undergrad recruiting might now come across as a bit “lightweight” in this context...like would they eye roll if we start talking about that one time we did a science competition sophomore year of college (even though it taught an important lesson)..etc.🤔

How bad is it to defer acceptance by a year, but then reapply to other preferred schools next application cycle in hopes of getting a better offer?

Does an MBA (US) make sense for me? Male, Indian, Age 32, Married working in tech consulting with 10 YOE. Base is $165 with steady increases and bonus is typically 15%. I eventually do want to cross the $300K threshold but I know stopping work for 2 years and getting and MBA probably won’t get me a $300K job right away. Becoming a manger in my current company/path will probably get me there in terms of TC. Also considering EMBA from a good school (Wharton Global, Duke, Kellogg, Booth).

How much does work experience impact your chances for MBA? Currently in a PMO function and the point of getting an MBA is to exit out lol

How much experience is recommended before applying? I’m 2 years out of undergrad and have been working in consulting at Big 4 since graduation. Aiming for M7 and interested in Data & Analytics and Finance.

I have a mediocre GPA from a undergrad school outside the top 10 (but inside the top 20). Is it impossible to get H/S with this profile as an ORM even if do everything else right?
