Hi, I have a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering with a 1-year Graduation project in Predictive Analytics and a 2-year Master of Science in Data Science with a Thesis in GenAI and predictive algorithms with a company. I am planning to apply for my first Data Scientist job. How do you suggest I go for it? Should I apply for an Entry-level/Junior/Mid-level position in Data Science? What are some of your advice for me?

I’m interviewing for a start up and the role sounds interesting. Usually for the “test” part of the interview I’ve had to analyze data. This company wants me to develop a growth strategy that outlines key initiatives for growth, different opportunities, experiments I’d run, KPIs, and working cross-functionally.

Is this a lot for an interview?

I’m a little afraid of doing all this work to then just have them take my ideas and not hire me.

Newish to data analytics. Have some experience in power BI, sql, and R. I wanted to get some exposure to aws and saw the AWS cloud practitioner as an available course at my job. Is this cert worth it? Or should I try one of the more advanced ones ? The data analytics one for example but wasn’t sure if it would be difficult to get through as a beginner. Will it look good on my resume?
