Just been offered a manager position (people & org consulting) at a big 4 in Qatar for 24k (QAR). Based on previous threads this seems low for the region. Especially as 9k goes towards accommodation (max unfurnished 1br) ....Have I been low balled? Or is this normal?

Hi! I’m 26 years old working in Boston, I have a BFA in interior design and am in a masters program. I’m currently at a small luxury residential design firm where I have been for 3+ years, and have a total of 6 years of work experience including internships. My manager says they will retain me by providing the same offer what I got in Infosys, i have put my resignation and my manager is calling me on weekly basis and saying that he is talking with senior leadership. I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.
