HI. I’m 9 years out of law school.
I currently work remotely in a HCOL (CA). I don’t have billables and get 10 days of vacation/ sick days a year. My base salary is $130,000/year. Total comp was $165k last year, including bonuses. Low stress (generally) and work anywhere between 35-40 hours a week. I received: Offer 1) 200k for 1850 billables. Not interested in the law. Offer 2) 185k for 1980 billables. Semi interested in the law. Both fully remote. Even worth it to jump ship?

Persistent offer letter has huge component of Other Bonus, In my case it's around 8 lakh rupees... Anyone working at Persistent can tell?? If this is paid 100%(in monthly salary) or there are some terms and conditions around this?? Persistent Systems Limited

Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).

Any thoughts on whether I should proceed with the request? I just came from big law and want to make sure I’m not making a bad impression on my colleagues.

I was initially considered for an insights and analytics Manager - experience management opportunity, aced all the interviews and the recruiter got back to me saying they really liked me but are considering me for a Senior Consultant position in order to ‘set me up for success’, and that I could be promoted to manager anywhere within 3 to 6 months..
