The same usual bonus for EY India folks. Doesn't at all add up to the chest thumping we do as a practice during the town halls.
On top of this remote working ki naam pe bijli ka bill 10k per mahina aa rha hain. And the tech salaries pumping inflation in the economy. The same place which was available for a 35k is quoting 50k. I wish atleast the hike is inflation beating :/

I switched 20 days back to Optum. I have 7 years of experience working as a full stack Engineer, who is passionate working on both front end and back end on latest technologies. But my project is working only on back end with 10 years old tech stack. There is no front end work at all. What should I do?

Was interviewing with a firm and soon after receiving an offer, learned of bad culture/toxic partners in the practice group from a couple of associates who recently lateraled from the firm. I turned the offer down. A partner that I clicked with while interviewing reached out asking me why I turned down the offer. Should I be honest and relay what I heard?

Turned down a job offer with a basic explanation of it wasn’t the best fit for my career at this time and they want more details. Had a generally bad experience and the offer was weak. How to close this process and move on?

Am I crazy? Currently interviewing at LEK, Oliver Wyman, and Deloitte strat for (essentially) entry level positions after working in biz dev at Microsoft for under a year. Thoughts on a company that won’t negotiate on salary and pays all the Account Executives the same salary. Appears years of experience mean little?

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)

Leaving my current job for a career pivot. Current job has been challenging to say the least and senior management never hears what others have to say. Employment is an at will state.
Senior leadership is so unforgiving that I fear by giving notice, I’ll be asked to leave and lose out on two weeks pay.
Thoughts and feedback on not giving notice or reducing the typical two weeks?

I'm currently making a career pivot and have gained a significant amount of experience during my MBA but still a bit in that pivot stage.. Currently creating spend analysis and doing vendor onboarding work for my company. It’s becoming a little mundane after 3-4 years. This was my first job out of college and I don’t really know how I got into this path. Graduated in business management and marketing. Anyone know how to get a position as an HRBP without HRPB experience? All positions I've looked at want previous experience. Would over 5 years of HR experience and a PHR suffice, or what skills should be added to that?

My old employer asked me if I wanted to come back to the company as a manager. The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. The issue is I left the company because of an abusive manager who constantly put me down and made me feel like I wasn’t doing anything right. If I come back I’d be working under her again. I’m torn because the opportunity is great but the stress was awful. Continued in comments…
