Hi, is anyone here who worked before in US and transferred to Canada? Just wanted to get feedback on the culture, pay, WLB. Appreciate any inputs.

For those of you who have transferred offices, did you know anything about the office/clients/culture beforehand? In other words, how did you know it was going to be a good fit ? Or did you wing it

Hi bowl. I’m starting to get annoyed with my SO’s mom who is white. She’s said a few problematic things so far about Asians. I don’t want to be the representative of my culture and keep explaining and correcting her naive generalizations. They’re mostly harmless (“oh! Is that because status is so important in your culture? Oh! Why do Asians take so many photos?”) How do you suggest I approach this? Please share any experiences- thank you.
