Hi, I've been trying for Risk roles at Synchrony for a long time. I've edited and improvised my resume multiple times. But I always faced straight up rejections. Can someone please suggest what's the best way to land an interview? Is it referrals? Or is there any specific screening criteria for Risk roles?

I went through a few interviews with the Deloitte Cybersecurity for a manager role. I've been in more senior roles at competing firms. Initially I said no thanks, but after the 4th call they made an initial offer at the top pay of the manager salary range and sent me a link to the application form. It's a 20% pay bump for me. So the question is should I take a demotion for 20% pay bump? Or counter with a lateral move? Is it even possible to negotiate a higher level after interviews are done?
