Bowl Leader
To start: 6yoe, NY Metro Area, HC/LS, $225k base, 25% bonus, 6% 401k match, equity next year, hours are 9-5, no nights or weekends. Tons of PTO.

It’s in NY. Sounds… livable.
7 yoe, DC, 265K + 15% bonus + 40K equity, tech, remote but higher stress and some nights and weekends.
Sharing as a reference point because sometimes I feel like I see attorneys accepting what appear to me to be low offers.
HCOL, 10+ yoe, credentialed and with Bachelors, starting salary was 43k in 2012 (fresh out of school) and now I'm at 130k with about a 10k bonus, and I've stayed in the transactional work (T&E and Real Estate (but no title and survey)).
That makes perfect sense.

10 yoe, DC, niche, $370 base & bonuses unclear (counsel), excellent WLB (PT hours, remote, tons of flexibility)
3 YOE, 120K, DC Area, Regulatory/Admin, good WLB - do maybe 20-30 hours of work per week
8yoe in current role, looking to make a move, 10yoe overall. $165k remote. WLB fluctuates based on politics and difficulty of assignments which is usually difficult. End up working about 50hrs/week average.
I should say - only remote for now… because there is no space for us. Constant threats and belittling from management. Cannot recommend.
