Considering pivoting into a local MM IB. As my title suggests, my technical skills aren’t as honed as one who has focused on the analysis route. How much of being an Analyst at a smaller IB is technical skill heavy coming into the role? I hold my 7, 66, 24, and am not worried about getting the 79. Any input for how realistic this is? When looking at one particular firm’s career page it doesn’t mention technical skills or modeling once, which led me to believe it may be less important than soft.

I feel like I’ve lost myself since joining McK. My whole world has become about work. I love my job but I’m not the same person I started and I feel I don’t connect with my friends and family the way I use to. I’m not sure if I’ve grown, or lost a part of myself. Is this growing up or do I need to make a career change?

There’s this guy at work I really like. We’re really really good friends but I’ve caught feels since the day I met him and I just want to tell him how I feel but I don’t want to ruin our great friendship. He’s the closest friend I have.

After being broken up now for 14 months - I think I still love my ex. We were together 6 years, and never fought. I thought I would spend the rest of my life with him. I don’t know why I can’t move on. It’s my birthday weekend and I have plans all weekend, but can’t stop thinking about this. Almost midnight here and I'm cleaning my medicine cabinet so I can reboot having a regular skin-care routine. Living 9 time zones away from home out of the US and watching the BLM movement there, unable to do anything concrete about it from here - this song I've listened to countless times, today about brought me to tears.
