Yes and no. Men can swipe on women they’re interested in and those men will show up on the woman’s feed. She can then choose to initiate contact or not. My guess is she swiped left on him on Bumble already so he tried LinkedIn, in which case would give me gross “doesn’t take no for an answer” vibes.

This has happened to me except under the guise of asking about jobs (because I work in HR even though I have nothing to do with recruiting).

The problem is that we didn’t match because I swiped left on them, so despite not being interested, they then reached out on LinkedIn. It’s highly inappropriate to take a first name and a workplace and put in the effort to find you. And then put you in a position to feel like you have to kindly turn them down despite what they did being inappropriate.

If I was interested, I would have matched in the app which is what the app is for. You’re trying to make the “but if they were attractive and hit on you” argument here assuming that “interest” is only based on physical attraction. I am not interested in plenty of traditionally attractive people because of things other than physical appearance.

So to answer your question, no. In no case is it sweet or romantic to be sought out on a different platform.

This is the very definition of privilege

Able to post something so absurdly wrong (Google PMs in the comments explaining that she transferred ladders when she switched jobs internally, hence pay change)
