Is it possible to find a good exit in a less populated area? I don’t want to be near a big city — I want a house and a big yard. But every single job that would be a good career move is in a big city. Do good jobs in small markets exist? How do you find them?

I’ve considered 100% remote roles, but it seems hard to progress in a career if I’m not physically present.

Seeking advice: I am a young sales consultant and sales engineer working for a tech startup company. I have 6 years of sales experience. And I have been helping run my family business for the past 10 years. I was intially interviewed for a senior account executive position at a $70k offer. Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. And no talks of a promotion / raise..

Anyone have with recent experience interviewing/hiring with FP? Most of what I found online is from pre-covid but it sounds like things might have changed a bit.

Is anything wrong with tech Mahindra hiring after submission of documents and salary discussion they want to have again technical round..if they want to reject why they do it in early stage.almost 3 week of search time wasted.

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

Hey everyone! At what stage do you think it would be appropriate to share that I am currently on an H-1B work visa? I got reached out by the CEO regarding an opportunity they are recruiting for. I applied and have made it to the final round of interviews that’s this week. In the application they didn’t ask about sponsorship or anything, and I didn’t want to automatically disqualify myself by telling them before giving my final round presentation. My final interview is Tuesday.

My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. I am generally a motivated, high performing person, but I al starting to slip up and care less, b/c my work is not satisfying to me. If your base salary is materially under vs. market due to firm salary freeze despite fighting for it &directors pushing for it. Yet you have strong support to progress internally. Would you leave?

I’m asking to get my notice period waived. I have a 30 day notice period per the employment agreement I signed, but it says they can waive it at any time after I gave notice. Im not going to a competitor or even the same industry. How likely is for my current firm to allow this?

Current a commercial banking II analyst at truist, $95k total comp. Looking at switching into tech sales, got an interview for an account executive position in fintech. Anyone know comps for Florida or recommend the move? Heard WLB and perks are great.
