Move out as soon as possible to keep your senses intact otherwise you will loose everything to cunning Wipro. Also try learning automation testing or selenium as your domain is testing or try availing different set of skills if testing is not what you like.
I'm trying my best (in explaining & studying).
Thank you for the advice! :)
Background : Have revised Python as I already know some of it & also I'm interested in it. Then started doing React courses lately as those friends of mine moved out based on React & suggested me to do the same to move out faster.
Get some handson experience in the tech you're interested in, once you're little bit confident in your skills, just talk to your friends about projects in similar domain in detail. Understand what they've done, who's the client, clients domain, projects, the problem the project was supposed to solve etc.
With 2 years experience large orgs might not expect too much from you. It's kind of a sweet spot for recruiters as well since they can pay you lesser compared to more experienced folks. Get confidence in giving interviews by attending for companies which you're sure you won't join. You will be able to clear eventually if you work hard at it.
BTW you'll get plenty of calls for interviews if you have some generic skills like core java, jsp, springboot
Ive suggested this to so many people and has worked for 75% of the folks including my spouse.
Edit: you need to try to pass off as if you have relevant project experience of 2 years for the time you've worked.
Ok, so this sounds good to hear. Thanks again!!
As you have mentioned javascript, if you are ok to continue in testing, you can go for Cypress. I can see Cypress is growing in the industry.
My situation was also more or less same as yours, was stuck in the project for more than 3 years.
I gave atleast more than 60 interviews in 2021 alone just to make a switch.
I also tried learning and getting hands on using different platforms but its not as easy as said, couldn't complete any of the course due to workload.
Finally after getting rejected from 30+ companies I started taking note of the questions they asked (for me its Java stack) in the interview and just studied the similar questions and topics and within 1 month only I got an offer and while serving notice I got 3 more offers.
Hope you can also try doing the same thing and it works for you as well.
Congratulations, finally you made it after all the attempts!! 🥳 Really helps. You gave some confidence too. ATB!
