I have a car lease that I’m trying to get rid of in NY. My in-laws want to buy the car from my lease and give it to their mom, but I would have to buy the car out myself and then transfer the title. The plan is to have 3 people write a check to me for $10k each as a gift. Then I buyout the car using $30k. When I transfer the title to their mom, do they have to pay the tax? The buyout price ($30k) already includes sales tax, and if we have to pay tax again to transfer the title, it’s 👎

If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income. I have made my tax payment in July 2022 but yesterday (15 Nov 2022) I receive an email that tax payment is due for assessment year 2022-23

I called to help desk and he advised to raise rectification request from Tax portal and update the challan number. I tried to raise request but need to upload some XML or json file there. I am not sure how to upload or modify that file.

Does anyone know what steps need to follow as I already made my tax payment.
