How serious are you and how much do you want to spend? Getting custom fit helps a lot, even if you're not that good
Our backyard is at one of the holes and we have a few hundred dollars credit at the store to burn, so I’m looking to upgrade from my college clubs. Custom fit is a good call, thanks!
I’m a dude, so I’m not too keen on women’s clubs. That said, I would go with a set of irons that best suit your swing. Offset clubs can help you hit the ball straight if you have problems with a slice. You can go to your local golf shop and I’m sure they’ll let you test some clubs out at the range before you decide which set of irons to buy.
As for brands, Mizuno, Titleist, and Srixon make good quality clubs. You can also find a high end set of used clubs for a decent price.
I didn’t realize that there were offset clubs/modified for a swing, thanks!
Dude here. Get some cheap irons and get some rounds/range time in. Do some lessons to get any bad habits out of the way. If you’re still interested in golf after 6 months of consistent week in week out golf (I play once a week for reference) then go and get fit and get clubs that work for you.
I got cheap irons in college and now looking to upgrade...my clubs and my game!
I just started learning and I have a Wilson’s women’s set from Amazon. About $300 and honestly I like them a lot for a beginner
Just started as well and also got a Wilson women’s set just to make sure I enjoyed it before dropping more money. Only complaint is that the putter is heavy and driver already has a dent in it.
