Hey, I had my LCSW in TX originally and got my LCSW by endorsement in CO pretty easily. For me, I just had to submit the application for “licensure by endorsement” online and then had to pay the required fee of $70. Basically, I then had to submit documentation that TX’s state LCSW requirements met the CO requirements for LCSW. To do that, I had to submit my LCSW supervision hours, show proof that I passed the ASWB clinical exam, and I also had to provide documentation that I got my MSW at a CSWE-accredited school.
After all that was confirmed, I lastly just needed to pass the Colorado Jurisprudence Examination (which was a little tedious, but it is an open book exam, so not too hard to pass). Once I passed the exam, it was almost immediately verified, and I received my Colorado LCSW by endorsement!
Hope that at least helped a bit! I’m pretty sure you can follow these steps with a LCSW from nearly any US state.
