Does anyone work under a project management structure? Example - Dev teams are assigned to projects, not products. All of the organizations initiatives are prioritized and worked according to priority. If I own a product or application that requires multiple enhancements or break fixes, different dev teams may complete the effort.

My company is moving away from a channel/product management structure back to a project management structure. Is this common in non-tech industries?

Has anyone done the "Google Project Manager Certification Program" in coursera?

If you did, did it get any more job/job interviews/ recruiters interested in you?

I am currently doing it, I thought it was 1 6 week module but it is ACTUALLY 6, 6 weeks modules... so pretty long... I am going to finish but I'm thinking it might not be as good of and investment as a thought hahahah

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

Haha it's a mix of product management, project management, product development, consulting work, technical stuff, analytical stuff. Literally anything the project needs to succeed haha

What should be the salary for Manager / Sr Manager having 14+ yoe in project/product service operations? I am at 32 lpa which I think is quite low having worked with top consulting firms for close to 12 years.

Will I seem like a jerk and risk being able to boomerang if I put in notice before big audit client? I won’t know I got the job until 2 weeks before then and new job would start when the audit starts.

How do PPMDs make sure when you are replacing an incumbent, you don't get handed down a broken system ? What sort of knowledge transfer and contractual framework do you get the client to agree to and how do you negotiate on that? I feel clients are not always honest and hide a lot of landmines which a consulting company can walk into and blamed for it.
