Recruitment firm reached out about Sr. Knowledge Analyst role in your Boston office. What does this roles entail? Are they still client facing consulting roles or back office research?

I’m a fifth year associate who is ready to get out of litigation (and private practice altogether). I’ve only ever done professional malpractice (legal, med mal, etc) and feel like those skills will not transfer as well if I had done transactional work. Ideally I would like to transition to something in-house. Any suggestions as to what jobs/industries I could transfer into with only litigation experience?

My current company is “taking me off payroll” but instead of laying me off or firing me, are fully expecting me to take up an hourly contractor position for $30/hour with no specified time or guarantee of hours. How do I respectfully tell them no?

My wife is a Chartered Accountant with 7+ years of experience as credit manager, underwriting loans with some leading banks in India. She just got her EAD and is looking for jobs, open to switch profiles as well. Do you think she would fit in for any role here in Seattle, WA? It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? Hi all, just looking for a range, what should should someone with ~3YOE in consulting (targeting Senior Associate) expect for a base salary.

And when giving a range is it better to overshoot knowing they’ll bring it down?

4YOE @Amazon & trying to lateral to a similar role @FAANG. Have my undergrad GPA (3.8/4) on resume from top 15 school but colleague says to take it off (looks silly). If it’s a good school & high GPA, why ever take it off your resume? Even if 10 YOE...can’t hurt?

2) How do I organize my engagement experiences - All combined bullets or separated by client?
