Considering an expert role in healthcare in mid Atlantic region at McKinsey. Any thoughts about culture, wlb, tc, etc? Have read through a bunch of older threads. Opinion seems mixed. Negatives mentioned include more intense work hours than integrative track, second class citizen, slower career progression, lower pay than integrative, harder to get staffed on engagements, poor integration into teams, and subpar exit opportunities. Also read this is changing. Would appreciate recent thoughts. 🙏
Looking to get out of public accounting(tax) and into finance role. Can anybody refer me?
We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office. Check LinkedIn for JD’s. Media Buyer role should be posted today!
Which firms have New York based major media practices? I have a brilliant friend who has been doing a media research oriented role and is interested in making a move.
I created a LoFi playlist on YouTube for consultants like us to vibe and work on (“Pls Fix Playlists”) It’s made me at least 2x more productive in editing my resume while searching for exit opps - so hope it does the same for ya’ll! Let me know what ya’ll fishes think: https://youtu.be/_PWxgWMtP5I
Secured 750 (Q:49, V:42) in GMAT. Targeting to apply for EMBA in 1-2 years. 9 YOE. Current role: Senior Manager. Target universities: M7, INSEAD and LBS. Question is, for GMAT exam I just focused on Q & V part, and skipped IR & AWA part (IR: 1 & AWA: 3). Now does it make sense to reattempt with a focus on other parts and risk 750 scores, or you think it’s not needed, as for EMBA’s GMAT score is not the only deciding factor and 750 score is enough for most universities irrespective of IR & AWA.
I’m a Junior accountant, recent MBA grad in Finance, located in NYC, just got laid off due to a merger. Anybody hiring or know any opening positions?
Currently pregnant with baby 2 and a start-up which I was really keen on about 9 months ago came back around to offer me a position. I am about 4.5 months away from leave with my current firm. Am terribly nervous about accepting an getting more even half of the leave I could have gotten before. To top it all off they are offering 50% salary until they raise their target (about 30% to their goal right now). This position is in my dream field and a great fit for me, but the timing couldn’t be wors
Hey Salesforce 🐠. I had a first round interview (hiring manager) ten business days ago and haven't heard a peep since. My workday still says "Interviewing". Is that normal? Does it ever change to something like "pass"? Should I just move on? 🥺
Exploring a potential data analytics role at MBB that isn’t part of their general consulting track… it seems more like an internal service that partners with consulting teams and occasionally is client facing. I’m interested in pursuing an MBA in the near-ish future and I’m curious how much this would help my application versus staying in my current role as a B4 consultant?
https://hbr.org/2020/01/what-top-consulting-firms-gets-wrong-about-hiring thoughts? Article mentions case interviews as a poor predictor of performance.
Looking to jump to Microsoft but the recruiters I have reached out to have been pretty quiet lately and haven't said much about an.interviee..in the cyber space, lots of experience, clearances, they just aren't interested, normally take a long time to respond (been a couple of weeks), are they slowing down hiring, other? Thanks

ITC infotech guys, I need a referal for a Xamarin developer position? Can you please DM me? Thank you!
Strategy folks - how do you get good at … strategy? Recently started at a startup in a role where I’m the only person under the head of our product team who handles the strategy-focus of the company. He wants me to take more ownership from him and I want to crush it but have no relevant experience here and am still fairly junior. Any books or classes? Or is it just trial by fire.
Hi all - I’m working as a Jr AE at a remote agency. Before full-time at this agency, I interned there for 2 years and often did pro-bono work. I love my company so much, but I often feel stuck when it comes to salary and growth. The salary is minimum wage and every time I ask about a raise they agree I need one but never get around to it. Today, I was offered a position at another agency as a remote AE with more than double my current salary. I didn’t seek this job out but don’t know what to do.
If anyone is looking to sign up for the Delta Amex Reserve, please let me know! I would love to make a “referral”
Can anyone from Accenture T&O please offer a referral? 2 YOE here and saw a posting that matches background. Thanks!
Question with regards to layoff talks. Are those who are being let go on the bench or being released while on projects? I haven't heard of many ACN layoffs in the former situation...
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
I posted in the Healthcare bowl but didn’t get quality responses. PE is notorious for being difficult to break into unless you’re IB. However, there are success stories of consultants making it. Healthcare consulting is lucrative because it requires a very niche knowledge base that is honestly rather difficult to acquire. I’m wondering if that niche knowledge base would make it easier to exit to a healthcare-focused PE firm. Thoughts? Also, general tips for moving to PE would be helpful!
Hello, I applied for a controller job and they are considering me. I am currently a senior 3 but jumped firm and took a lower level to get in big 4. I think I can do the job but am freaking out now lol 😂. I am a CPA, I also have an MBA and a CFA , not that the MBA and CFA are relevant. I need help , how hard is the controller work?
I just moved to the US and got the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card. Now I am seeing amazing bonus point offers from different cards. Is there any harm in opening 2-3 cards at once?
Any fishes in DCA Terminal B with Admirals access willing to guest in my sister whilst I take in my niece HMU!
I'm bored. Bored of white men acting like diversity in advertising is a humdrum trend that can be likened to bots and ar.
For folks whose own and SO’s family live far away….how do you manage childcare? I understand nannies for the day but as I think of multi day outings, would prefer a family member to care for my child. What have others in this long distance situation done? They say it takes a village to raise a child but both our “villages” in terms of family are far away
How long could it take to get Amazon response after sql technical interview ok chime? I have interview on Friday and today it’s second working day after it. Should I expect rejection?
BCG people- how many people actually max out the full end year bonus? What's the more common expected end year % for associates? Thanks! I'm trying to weigh some options :)
Started about 8 months ago from another firm but already interviewing for industry roles. Is it worth sticking it out for a few more months? For more context, I have about 5 years exp, all consulting
What are your thoughts on RSM consulting? Specifically on compensation, WLB, exit opps, and types of work.
Need some insight into menopause. I’ve been living with my family during covid and it’s been very difficult with my mom. She is mostly in a bad mood, constantly picks fights, has mood swings at times, and is miserable. Some of this is due to other issues at home but I’m wondering if it could be hormonal. Is this menopause?
What are some exit opps outside of life sciences? And any prerequisites needed to make the switch?
Does it make sense to opt for pension if you're not going to stay in UK life-long? Are there different types of pensions (guessing some might pay my entire invested amount prematurely if I leave country unlike national insurance)?
Hello UK fishes 🐟: any of you work at Deliveroo? Looking to gain insight into the company culture and opportunities. TIA
Are there any ladies here who want to stay single (or not really prioritize relationships), and stay child free?
