Been with D for 8 months. This is my 2nd job in 2.5 years but thinking of jumping ship with all the lay-offs in my area. Will I be seen as a job hopper? Really like it here don’t want to be laid off.

What are everyone's thoughts on resume services/coaching? I am a leader/exec that was laid off (first time) and have spent over 15 years in various roles such SVP Operations, Senior Director Product, VP Solutions, etc. at different companies.

I'm currently in the placement process to join an IB group. Personally, I am interested in Lev Finance/Financial Sponsors Group because of the opportunity to build skills and networks to transition to PE. However, I am split between M&A, TMT, and RE because they seem to be very active groups and sometimes recession-proof. How can one transition from a Visual/graphic designer in marketing to a product designer? And what’s it like being a product designer w a visual design background? Hi Fishes, I'm in a huge dilemma now. Im currently working with TCS and my CCTC is 10.29 LPA and I hold 2 offers, one with with Bank of America for 17.5 LPA Fixed and with CTS for 19 LPA.
My last date is Dec-30 and I received a call today from TCS HR for retaining me for 16 LPA max.
Earlier,before the call I had Bank of america in mind ahead of CTS for its work culture ,hike %, job security and other benefits. But here in TCS also I have very good role, job security and comfort.Please suggest!!

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

What is a simple way to explain to my boyfriend that investing in equity with an expected return of 10% is better than paying off debt that is growing at a rate of 6%. He has student loans and is adamant that he wants to pay all of them off immediately before saving any retirement money. I understand that many individuals use this strategy but I think investing in index funds for the long haul is better from a wealth accumulation perspective, without even factoring in tax implications of 401k
