PwC has provisionally cleared me to join the firm first week of Jan. What does this mean? Can I start working with them even if the background check is still running in parallel? Can I quit my current job and expect everything to be cool? They said it's taking them longer to verify education and previous employment. Both of which are international.

I...didn't think the two can mix??? Like these are basically two full time jobs. I would definitely consider outsourcing support, or at least hiring a freelancer/someone else who could do it? It doesn't need to go out of the country personally, lots of solutions out there that could provide ad hoc support
Currently looking for a new position since this employer thinks it’s okay for me to manage our support inbox, coordinate development fixes, create graphics for clients (ads/logos/lead magnets/rack cards/you name it- I’ve made it), design websites/apps, and project manage the production process all for $37,500 a year. Yes it’s a very small agency, and yes it was the only employer that gave me a chance as a 2020 may graduate (when the job market was trash). But this is just ridiculous. I’m trying to get more into the PM/design side and if I can come up with a solution to fix the support side then we should be good!
Would you be hiring a support specialist then, so that you can focus on design? I'd say just hire on the assumption that support will soon never be dead for two days. The more you improve your product and gain users/customers, the more support you'll need. Bring someone on and explain that the job will likely get busier in the coming months and at what point you'll look into hiring more support for them if needed.
Yes the main goal would be for a primary support specialist- this would allow me to move up into a 100% production role creating and coordinating the development of our websites (long term career goal is to become a UX designer since this is my favorite part of my job but I am fairly new to the career world since I am a BFA may 2020 graduate).
