If she seems competent and has the reqs just like any other entry level, then of course. I just gave my support for hiring our 35 year old intern after he completes his master's in tax and is expecting to take take the CPA
if she was the best candidate
Once you have a masters/MBA or 5+ years of work experience. Undergraduate GPA doesn’t matter much. Going to pay attention to the more recent GPA/your accomplishments in the work place.
A few years ago we hired a woman who was probably in her early 50s who changed careers from a medical administration job to become a CPA. She was obviously more mature than your typical junior staff and understood the amount of work that it took to do the job. The only issue that I ever had with her is that sometimes she didn’t always like taking direction from someone half her age (I think I was a supervisor at the time). Worked out well in the end and she’s since retired. So I don’t think age should really matter.
Your age shouldn’t be a discussion point during the interview process, unless you look older and believe that would cause a concern for your interviewer
Really would depend on what her full story is and why she would want to join the firm - the reality is that most of her age peers at the firm are either making partner or getting pushed out and she would have 0 chance of making partner. The 2.9 GPA would probably be a more of a concern than the age though
