Hot take: is STAR overrated? I used to rely heavily on the STAR method in interviews, but every time answers sound rehearsed and generic. I would focus more on fitting my story into the framework than on clearly explaining my thinking and be natural.

I am looking to enter big law. I had a clerkship on a state Business Calendar and am a current first year litigation associate where I have prepared for a trial, taken and defended depositions, and have extensive motion writing practice in tech, business, and employment cases. Is it a waste of time to try and make a move to big law with such few years of experience?

Is it possible to get a Job at Google, Microsoft, Amazon or other similar big companies after 8 years of experience working for multiple service based companies as a frontend developer ?

Anyone else have a need to exercise daily? A lot of people judge me in a negative way and in reality it is because my ADHD brain needs it. 1) the consistency for schedule 2) exercise can help tone down the symptoms before I sit down for the work day 3) it is the only thing I can control to make it look like I am not a mess (disorganization, interrupting) - basically trying to stay in the game at work based on perception of “having it together”. Just wondering if anyone faces the challenges.

Is there an advertising agency (other than Wieden, I get it) that doesn’t seem to suck or have major issues? It feels like opinions for any agency being brought up on here tends to always end up eliciting a negative response somehow.

How do I figure out spending with my SO? Initially I was paying for 90% of stuff (no actual bills, just going out). I talked to her and said we need to be more even. She was never proactive. She kind of got offended but we ended on a good note to split things. It went well for a couple weeks but now it's back to normal.
