I am also AWS certified (architect associate) but don't have much experience with it. I create small stuff on AWS for my personal learning. I have given my interview in HCL and cleared 1 TP, 1 hcl manager & Client TP and Client Manager rounds .
In initial screening HR told the generic statement of 30-40% and I have given my ask as 50% minimum. After clearing the rounds I heard from the project team that Client has given great feedback and wanted to take me in .
What is the % I can ask in HR Discussion and will they reject in HR if I ask more now .
I have 9.5 years total experience and role is Storage Architect.

Feeling like I’ve been “bait-and-switched”…

I’ve been interviewing at an agency with the intention of filling a Director role. Recruitment reached out soon after my last meet-and-greet interview (about 6 to 7 people total) to tell me the team thinks I would be best suited for an Associate Director role with a fast follow of a Director promotion.

Recruitment can’t tell me what feedback is creating this gap but also won’t stop mentioning the positive praise and feedback the team had for me.

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. How does one most effectively make the transition into management from an Individual Contributor?

I've been an individual contributor for 4 years in Tech, have 8 years of experience total. I'm finding it difficult to make the management transition despite having management experience, performing beyond expectations, and having a genuine passion for enablement and development.

I'd appreciate any success stories or pointers you can offer in regards to this transition.

I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
