How are you guys staying motivated during a long-term search without losing your sanity? I’ve been unemployed for six months now after being caught in a round of layoffs, and the resume gap is starting to look big. I’ve been doing some consulting on the side to stay sharp, but recruiters always ask about the hiatus with such suspicion. It’s hard to stay confident when you’re constantly being judged for something that was out of your control. 😕

I’ve taken FAR a few times at this point. I got two 74s and this past one I got a 70. I felt like the last exam (which was a few weeks ago) was extremely harder than the other ones. Has anyone else noticed the exam getting extremely tough? Or do you think I just got a one off?

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
