I'm curious what the average salary is for an Associate Agent. I'm licensed & do everything after the sale is made as well as refer new business. I have 14 years in the industry but have been at the current company less than a year, so I know that plays a part as well. Anyone in a like-position by chance?State Farm Allstate Travelers

You can’t. Micromanaging only gets worse over time, it never really dies down.
I think it depends on why the micromanaging is happening.
Quit.
Do you think they are being malicious with the "micromanaging" Could they be trying to help you and make sure you succeed which could be taken as micro managing. Could you have a conversation with them to let them know your thoughts and you can see their perspective too?
Just tell them that their constant presence and looking over your shoulder is starting to hinder your performance.
That's a challenge. People who micromanage aren't easily deterred. Sometimes, when they realize things are going just fine, they get bored and find something else to concern themselves with. That's always a good goal, try to find a way to bore them.

Tell 'em take a long walk off of a short bridge. Jk🤣🤣🤣but I do not do well with micromanagement. i have addressed it head on with what is a priority for me and laid my reason out. depending on the persons reasoning behind it they may shift how they handle things. In my case it has shifted for now. I tend to be a very direct person and can come off as very blunt and abrasive. I do not do well with micromanagers at all. If my numbers are your numbers and money don't put me in a stressful position.
I wish my manager would do more managing as I don’t feel like I am growing at this time.
In all honesty, it seems more like most companies have pulled back from the part of helping with the growth and development of good employees to sitting in endless meetings all day. The interaction isn't what it used to be to be. At one point in my career I wanted the management positions and now, not so much. i don't want the pay cut and endless meetings.
Are they truly micromanaging or being curious about your work?
