Changed my life in a whole lot of ways. It opened up some great career opportunities and gave me a lot more confidence in my skillset. Some changes were what I expected, like moving into a new role, but the networking and self-growth honestly surpassed what I imagined. There were definitely tough moments with balancing work, studies, and life but overall, it was a rewarding experience. If you’re feeling strongly about it, I’d say go for it!
So you did part-time? What school?
You can go to online night school at National University and get an MBA or you can go after work like I did to a campus. My company paid for most of it.
Pivoted into IB successfully which wasn’t fun or easy so for me paid off well. Also met so many fun people along the way - travelled endlessly to places I had only bucket listed.
Overall - I’ve had an incredible time

It hasn’t paid off for me… huge investment, great time, ton of work, but haven’t seen a massive swing in opportunities. I got a pay raise at work but struggling to get offers after 6 months of interviewing. I know it’s a hard time in the economy… but no one seems impressed.
Obtaining my MBA overall had positive impacts. It definitely increased my minimum salary. One negative impact that I experienced, and still do quite a lot, is that I am told I am overqualified for whatever position. This tends to happen a lot when the economy is shaky.
