Okay to renege on a lateral offer that I already accepted (prior to Covid-19 outbreak)? Anxiety is high moving in a time like this and now would rather stay put.

I am feeling some depression due to COVID and I want to move back to Misouri to be closer to my parents, but I'm worried about looking for jobs outside of the major tech cities and moving in general. Any advice?

Pt. 1: Alright, here's my concern. I understand bus drivers are hard to come by. When you got 'em, you want to keep 'em. Our district is in short supply and we recently found out a player (players) on one of our athletic teams, along with a coach (coaches) has tested positive for Covid, OR been exposed. A few of us drivers recently drove this team to an away game within this past week yet none of us were notified if we might have possibly been the driver to one or more of these players/staff.

My partner and I are moving out of our condo building in NYC at month end, and the building management (not our landlord) has communicated to us that, on top of the 1K non-refundable fee and 1K security deposit to move out (stated in lease), they are also issuing a $1,250 "sanitization fee" for the public areas (hallways/elevators), since we happen to be moving out during COVID19. I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
