Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.

Or you can ask me. Always happy to help find one for you if I'm not what you're looking for.
Senior folks - offer to mentor. They need us.
Sometimes it’s just about reaching out to find time. If you get time, seeing if there’s a connection. If There is a good connection then ask, but don’t ask for endless time. Perhaps a once a month check-in. But most importantly, come prepared for each discussion with billet points you ca. share in advance of topics you need to discuss. Remember, someone is giving you their time so you need to come prepared.
Networking, networking, networking! I would recommend looking on LinkedIn. Who’s in your 1st or 2nd connections?
The best way is to ask someone who you already vibe with or who you look up to and inspires you. The worst they can say is “no”. Then you find the next best person and ask them. Best advice I heard years ago / consider your mentors your personal Board of Advisors. Ideally, you’d want someone in your office/workplace (someone senior to you and NOT your manager), someone in HR at your company or somewhere else, someone senior outside your company and anyone else you see fit that could help guide you on your way. Keep in mind / a good mentor is someone you trust and respect, and someone you’re able to tell the good and bad to. They are there for guidance and advice. Always come with questions and an active listening ear. A sponsor, however / equally important - should be a stakeholder at your company. Your manager is fine but their manager is even better.
GREAT QUESTION! Following!

Reach out to people you admire in the industry.

There are organizations dedicated to our career development like 100 Roses From Concrete and The Marcus Graham Project. I volunteer as a creative mentor in both. The Valence Community also offers mentoring in whatever stage of your career.
Don’t get hung up on labels. Most people will be happy to be a sounding board or give you ideas from time to time about navigating your career, dealing with office politics etc. Even a peer can help depending on your interests. You might check in with different people about different topics. What people often miss is that they can offer something to those who help them.
