If you’re white like me it’s so important to realize that we were raised in a society where institutionalized racism is normalized, and we were born with privilege. You can’t choose the color of your skin, but you can choose to put ego aside and reflect on why this isn’t happening to me, and be vocal about being anti-racist.

Look at you with two offers. Showoff.
I’m unemployed and have been looking for months so I am honestly relieved to be in this situation 😅
It’s hard. Companies pretty much never move at your pace, so the best advice I can give is determine if you’re prepared to lose the first offer if the possibility of the second job is more appealing. It sucks if you don’t the second one later on, but it all depends on your situation.
I was unemployed a couple years ago and was interviewing with two agencies simultaneously. Agency A moved fast and offered while I waited on a final round interview with Agency B.
Neither opportunity was drastically better, so because I felt like I couldn’t turn down a sure thing, I went with A. I was able to get some more money out of it because I lied and told A that B offered more money, so they matched.
I think as long as you don’t go radio silent, and you tell the first place you’re fielding other offers, you can buy yourself a few days. But it may come down to deciding what’s better. An offer or the idea of an offer?

The art of stall…

I once signed for the first option but when the better option came along i signed at the other place. They were pretty angry but i made great work at the place where i am now and i’m sure the first place would hire me again
Accept and secure the first offer once stalling is no longer an option. Then when you get the other offer, accept it and let the first shop know you’ve said yes someplace else because the opportunity aligns better with your professional goals and blah blah blah. And some more blah. You might be burning a bridge with the first shop but if it isn’t that special to you anyway (or well known), then don’t over think it. Good luck and congrats!
Depends on which company you’re more interested in. But typically, tell the second company you’ve received an offer elsewhere, but you’re more interested in their company, and ask for a timing update.
Stall with the first company in the meantime.
