Thankfully I've never actually worked with anybody like that. Just the idea of it though, it sounds like it would drive me insane. But we are not really a high-end establishment.
I haven't worked with anyone that did that thankfully. But if I had, that would have annoyed the heck out of me. I get it like you said, but hustle.
If you’re working at a restaurant where a chef uses tweezers than you have to expect it every time. People go to those types of restaurants for the presentation for their social media accounts. The chef can’t slack just because it gets busy. The tweezer thing is likely why you’re busy.
Any tool is better than their hands. There are times when tweezers truly are the appropriate tool for certain components but you all are imagining them plating an entire meal with them; that doesn't happen.😐
Please leave your cross contaminated and micro plastic gloves away from my food as much as possible. Think of it a professional courtesy. The chefs who do what you describe often struggle with OCD and unfortunate it can easily affect a server's compensation negatively.
