Take the MARC train. Leaves from union station and is only $7 each way. Runs multiple times a day.
Second MARC
You don’t. Fly from DCA only
You can take Amtrak from BWI to Union Station in DC. It's been years since I took that, though, as I've flown exclusively from DCA for a while now.
There still is a train. Runs every day, picks up at BWI and will take you to Union station
I would take the train over Uber, as traffic on the BW Parkway is just generally pretty horrendous.
Amtrak is only like $15. Uber is more like $40
Uber to DC can be as high as $60 - I arrived late one night and had no choice and due to demand it cost $60.
I have paid upwards of $80-90 to uber to BWI from DuPont area in dc and have also almost missed my flight due to traffic despite leaving 3 hrs early and having precheck. The train is annoying but much more reliable if you are traveling any time other than 9pm - 5am. These Uber’s are consistently less than $50 and no traffic is a breeze (still 45 min plus ride but equidistant to Dulles for me). Dca is always the preferred option and I pay an extra $75+ for dca flights knowing I will save uber costs over Dulles/bwi. Also time is money.
Pro
Since union station has been pretty inconvenient to me, I’ve taken uber a lot from NW. It’s usually about $45 and the time it takes depends on traffic. In non traffic times it would take me about 45 min but in rush hour I would always budget 1.5 hours minimum. I would consider the union station option at rush hour but at low traffic times uber was most convenient
Uber is $40-$60 and way faster than the Marc train
