Are they lazy because they are generally not busy? Usually I have a hard time of a creative team prioritizing my project because they have others that are higher on their priority list.
Can you put time on their calendar for a meeting with you that acts as basically their work time for the to do items on your list?

They are probably multitasking. Like P1 said, put time on their calendar with help from their Creative Resource Manager or Ad Min, who keep their calendars. Present a list of what you need to accomplish in that meeting. Run it like a mini pre-pro. Make sure that you invite their CRM/AdMin to the meeting as well to take notes and jot down key dates. They are your most valuable partner. Be kind, resourceful and to the point. Schedule future meetings with those peeps.
I try to have them own responsibility. I will not be texting them or reminding them when they are supposed to be in a meeting. If they were invited they are expected to be there. This is amazingly abused by creatives who want a producer or pm to be personal assistant. I get you have other programs open aside from calendar - so do I as well as overseeing multiple projects.
Delivery of assets and deck updates - group status daily and ping me when it’s in there.
Feedback and edits lean in account to manage feedback trackers and tagging creatives in the amends and cc you.
Lastly if someone is not taking ownership of their work - flip it to someone else, no BS.
Good luck!
I think we have different jobs so let’s leave it at that.
Doesn’t sound like lazy creatives. It sounds like over allocated or burned out creatives. It seems holding company agencies are running lean on creative staff. Of course, if this is not true, then above comments are all good ones.
Do you just send them lists into the wind or have you made a plan at the top of the project on how to collaborate? And where is your PM?

Great add. The project manager should always be involved at every step.
if that’s the case i just throw a huddle calendar invite over and tell them let’s work together on this
Calling your creatives lazy speaks volumes about the style of producing here…and I assure you despite knowing the details I can confidently say your team’s comprehension and understanding of key intel is your sole responsibility no matter what.
Producing = ownership of the project workflow. Totally agree about the lazy comment.
I do daily/biweekly, 15 minute status calls with them where I talk through the to dos and see if they have any pending items we need to make sure we’re tackling. Makes it all feel more collaborative and less here’s another list you have to check off.
