I’ve usually seen it done starting Jan 1st my rate is now X.
Leverage. Find another gig willing to pay you that higher rate. Then negotiate with your current agency. Is they don’t adjust your rate, you politely leave.
You could say “my rate is changing/going up” but they might find someone else idk
I’m a bit confused… is it A. You were freelancing there at price A now want to negotiate a higher price. Or B. You were full time and now they assume your freelance rate will be the same
How long have you been working with them?
You just negotiate it. Why: because now you’re responsible for you your laptop, software, healthcare, business insurance, state/city licenses, solo 401k, accounting software, etc.. on top of that you’re work will not be consistent (you’re super high risk). So you charge higher than your regular job 100%. If they don’t understand that, you don’t really want to work with them as a client
