A real service dog that does tasks on your behalf or just a therapy dog for emotional support?

My workspace allowed any dogs. Always funny and temporarily confusing to see them come out of a bathroom stall!

funny

Thinking more therapy dog for emotional support (PTSD). Our workspace doesn’t allow dogs - feels weird to have them make an exception for me.

I didn’t even think about having to go to the bathroom with them 😂😂. I think that would be awkward in the small stalls.

I know this is really old, so hopefully this is still helpful. There are many tasks that a service dog can be trained to do to assist with PTSD, making them a service dog, not a ESA. They are required to allow access for a service dog.

How do you deal with a manager / junior partner who is always nitpicking and questioning why you did what you did, or telling you what you did is the wrong way to do things? It’s generally prefaced with them only doing this to help you grow, but has the exact opposite effect on me. And then when you try to explain your POV, you’re tagged as being defensive. Generally ends me with saying I’m sorry. No other partners at the firm have ever raised any concerns on my communications or work product.
