1- accept that that’s how it goes. Even though timelines are shorter and briefs are dumber doesn’t mean your job is easy. Sometimes there’s just not has in the tank and good things often take time
2- journal / mindmap your bad thoughts, or lack of thoughts, sometimes all it takes to make bad good is a nuance. Write down what you do have.
3-use those days for mindless tasks like organizing, cleaning up your desktop, check in on your teams, etc.
Don’t develop a hero complex. You have teams reporting to you, a partner, etc. it doesn’t always have to be you that wins the idea.
Creative on demand is something I have had a hard time with. Not every day is going to be an award winning idea day. Your job is still important though and there are a lot of other things that can use focus and attention. Good point made that it won’t always be *your idea* you have a lot of other people that might be having the day you aren’t.

Also … stop trying to hit home runs all the time. It’s not healthy and you strike out way more.

Those days are important too. I think as CDs you need to have a fine balance between being a little bit of a marketing expert/administrative legend AND being creatively thoughtful. Why not embrace those non-creative days for thinking about other things that also contribute to the success of your projects or campaigns at work?
Hahah this meme made me laugh because that was me towards the end of this last week. It can be really hard to find motivation but i am very motivated by my paycheck so I usually give myself a pep talk and then get to work.
