Any thoughts on Laronde?
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?

PE assuming reputable shop.
Debt will easily be made up for in the future if you return to PE post MBA.
But it seems odds of that are mixed even with pe exp
MBA sponsorship typically comes with required time post-MBA at your consulting firm. So, if you know you don’t know want to be in consulting, then you probably aren’t taking the sponsorship.
Also, Bain allows folks to be sponsored for MBA even after leaving Bain for industry. E.g., leaving Bain after 2 years for PE, staying at PE for two years, then getting MBA sponsorship with return to Bain as a post-MBA consultant. So, talk with your firm about that possibility.
That's a great perk and idea, thanks!
Dude go work at PE. You will learn a ton! Consulting doesn’t teach you about one of the most important concepts in business: risk. You will learn a ton about risk at PE
Probably will!
OP would you mind sharing what’s your current background? I am wondering because I thought usually they would offer you analyst positions pre-MBA, interested to know if there are exceptions
Pre-MBA exits are typically as associate. Post MBA is often principal or VP. Obviously title doesn’t really matter though
Do you have a specific MBA program in mind? Or see it more as a career accelerator?
Best one I could get into lol
