I have a total of 8.1 yrs of development experience in Java, Bigdata and Hadoop (new to it).
I got an offer from Capgemini for Manager/C2 designation with a CTC of 24 LPA. I just wanted to know the roles and responsibilities at this designation.
Will it be a profile shift from technical to managerial position or is just a designation (as per HR) the actual job would be to lead/guide any team?

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?

Any insight on Marketing Manager salaries at Amazon?? I was quoted around 140 which I feel is rather low as I’ve interviewed for a senior role before (didn’t get it) and was quoted in the 200s.

I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. Is this typical behaviour others have experienced when dealing with the big tech company recruiters? I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.

Looking for a new consulting job - best company to work for?

I am an associate at an AM200 firm and was (IMO) very clear prior to accepting this role that I value work-life balance and wanted to try to keep work at night on the weekends to a minimal, but since February, it seems like it’s always something that requires my time as needed disregarding “business hours” or my personal schedule. Thoughts on whether to bring this up or continue to be a team player until I burn out and pay off my student loans?

It may seem obvious, but in my experience partners value trial experience over anything else, so get it however you can. For example, my firm will favor a former prosecutor who has seen the courtroom a lot but has no civil litigation experience (not even a depo) over a seasoned associate who has only second chaired cases with a partner but hasn’t tried a case. Even trying a case and losing gives you credibility at my firm because you still did it.

Need help thinking through this…Debating leaving to a tech startup. Very early stage ($3-7M ARR), would have a big role leading strategy and Ops. It’s a cash paycut, which is a bummer but the equity would be pretty good. Just nervous about leaving before hitting the full manager role and taking a paycut in this market to bank on equity. I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
